Dr. Seth Pachman, a Long Island native, discovered his passion for physical therapy after undergoing knee surgery in high school. Hockey wasn’t just a sport to him—it was his identity. When injury took it away, he knew what it felt like to lose a piece of himself. But through physical therapy, he was given a second chance—a way to not just heal, but to reclaim the game he loved. That experience shaped his mission: to help others do the same. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University, building a foundation that would allow him to work with athletes at every level. His experience spans the Division 1 athletic departments of the University of Wyoming, Stanford University, Long Island University, and the University of Michigan, as well as years spent treating athletes and active individuals—from little leaguers to pros to weekend warriors.

Seth founded Positive Sports Physical Therapy because he knew there had to be a better way to deliver care. At PSPT, every session is a full, one-on-one, 60-minute appointment with Dr. Seth—no PT aides, no techs, no being passed around. From the moment you walk through the door, he takes full ownership of your recovery, ensuring you get the attention and expertise you deserve. Many of his clients have been struggling with pain for months or even years, often after failed treatments elsewhere. Because he knows firsthand what it’s like to lose the ability to do what you love, he’s committed to giving others the same second chance he was given. Seth takes pride in being the “go-to guy” for athletes and active individuals, helping them break through plateaus, overcome setbacks, and get back to their sport—stronger than ever.
